![]() ![]() But even as it stands right now, it's not worth it after exchange fees to mine 71% and then convert some to RVN to hold, though that will change from day to day of course. At the moment of this post, there are 724 members in this group! TL DR: If you are mining today and cashing in tomorrow, mining ETH at 71% is the best bet. If it gains more traction with general crypto enthusiasts (I only hear miners talk about it) that resistance could break through (not a fortune teller, but it's a possibility). RVN has a lot of long term support at $0.05, and resistance at $0.15-$0.20. I have no idea where the market is going, but I am betting that over the long haul it will trend up. Yes, of course, I could do 100% RVN and get 100% GPU utilization, but having the option of having a bit of both is very appealing to me for my mining goals. Holy shit! The point here for me is that 100% of the GPU is mining, and at almost perfectly 30/70. With those numbers in mind, I would hope that if the dual mining worked correctly and efficiently, I'd be getting ~30 MH/s ETH and ~30 MH/s RVN. Pretty good! At ~72 MH/s, that's almost exactly what I'd hoped for. Yesterday I bought a NIB RTX 3080 LHR for $1350 USD on FB. If I needed to cash in tomorrow to pay my electricity, of course I'd have a different take. Several people have pointed out that mining ETH at 71% is in fact more profitable, at today's prices, than mining 30/70 ETH RVN.įor me, as a casual mine-and-hold miner since 2011, that really misses the point. Even though I am not cashing out any time in the near future, the point is that I'm still not able to get a full 100% of the power out of my card with dual mining, so RVN it is. The difference is $4.93 for dual to $5.47 for RVN per day. With my best RVN OC, I can get 51mh/s, whereas with the settings required to keep ETH from locking up, I get ~46. Update: after playing around with OC settings for a few days, I've found that going straight RVN is still better than splitting. Unfortunately they're now almost impossible to find on the local market, and prices have risen ~$3 since the eth merge delay was announced. Update 2: in the last 24 days since posting this I have in fact bought 13 more cards lol. Extensive trolling, profanities and trash posts will not be tolerated.
